Start a conversation
A first conversation is a short discussion of the decision currently in front of you — what is being decided, what is already known, and where the uncertainty actually sits. It is not a presentation, and it follows no script. Its purpose is to determine whether a clearly defined advisory engagement would be useful — and to be clear about it if the answer is no. Some decisions are better served by someone else, by waiting, or by information you can obtain yourself more cheaply, and saying so at this stage costs nothing.
If an engagement does look useful, the next step is a defined scope, timeline and fixed fee, agreed before any work begins.
Who this is for
Who this is for
Renas Partners works with international manufacturers evaluating Iran's commercial electric two- and three-wheeler market, and with Iranian commercial fleet owners and operators evaluating electrification. It is also relevant to investors, assemblers, distributors, financing and leasing providers, service, infrastructure and technology providers, and institutional stakeholders considering a role in a specific project.
What matters more than the category is whether a decision is open — clearly defined or still taking shape, inside a project already moving, a pilot that needs designing or evaluating, or a decision stalled because the parties involved are working from different assumptions. If none of that describes your situation yet, there is no reason to get in touch now.
Getting in touch
What is useful in a first message
Four things are enough: your name, your organisation, the type of organisation — manufacturer, fleet, investor, assembler, distributor, service or infrastructure provider, institutional, or other — and the decision or opportunity being evaluated. On the last one, a few lines are enough, and the decision itself is more useful than background: whether to enter, which segment, which partner, whether to electrify part of a fleet, whether to scale after a pilot.
Where relevant, the market or region within Iran, where the project currently stands, the kind of support you have in mind, and any timing that matters are all useful — none is required.
Direct contact by email or through LinkedIn works equally well.

Confidentiality
Information shared at this stage is handled confidentially, including the fact of the enquiry itself, and is not passed on beyond the ordinary email and hosting services any correspondence relies on. No commercially sensitive detail is needed in a first message — enough to establish whether a conversation is worthwhile is sufficient.
Where an organisation's process requires a non-disclosure agreement before substantive discussion, that can be put in place before the first conversation.
